Really Simple Systems Releases Public API

Application Programme Interface allows customers and third party application vendors to integrate into CRM system

10-Aug-2010

Really Simple Systems, the largest UK vendor of Cloud CRM systems, today announced the general availability of the Really Simple Systems API (Application Programme Interface). The functionality will allow CRM users, web developers and software providers to integrate their applications directly into the Really Simple Systems CRM application.

The Really Simple Systems API is a SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) based interface, that allows low level objects in the CRM system to be read, updated and created using XML data. Records can be retrieved individually or multiple records can be retrieved based on search criteria.

Real Training, www.realtraining.co.uk, a specialist e-learning provider to educationalists, is an early user of the API. David Hutter, Business Development Manager at Real Training, comments, "We've used the API to build a real-time dashboard, which shows visually attractive reports based on closed opportunities."

John Paterson, CEO of Really Simple Systems, adds, "By integrating web-based applications with Really Simple Systems, businesses can offer customers a closely coupled CRM functionality and get exposure to Really Simple Systems' customer base."

Paterson continues, "Recent research from Really Simple Systems found that confidence in cloud applications has increased in 62% of SMEs. Anyone looking to leverage their Software as a Service (SaaS) offering can now integrate into our Cloud CRM system and take full advantage of the increasing demand for systems that offer SMEs real value for money."

The API is available now, at no extra charge to existing Really Simple Systems customers.
