Hasn't the year flown by - it's incredible that we are fast approaching mid-year already. This also means that our financial years are also coming to a close and budgets being put in place for financial year 2011. I hope you have all had a very successful 2010 and that you include budget for a CRM solution in 2011 if you do not already have one. I am still staggered by the number of people I speak to who are using a spreadsheet to keep track of their sales opportunities, and yet want to share and consolidate this information across the organisation.
In this newsletter we take a closer look at SaaS (Software as a Service) or Cloud Computing. It is becoming increasingly clear that solutions which run in the cloud are here to stay and offer some significant advantages, particularly to smaller businesses. If you would like any advice regarding your software selection (not just CRM) then please contact me and I would be happy to pass on my knowledge and experiences.

Really Simple Systems Product Tip
Completed Tasks
Many users are unaware that you can convert a Task (your reminder) into an Activity (your history) once the Task has been done. Simply open the Task and then change the Task Status to be 'Completed'. Save this and when you return to the Account the Task will no longer exist and a new Activity will be listed.
And Finally Some Fun...
A 6-year-old goes to the hospital with her grandmother to visit her Grandpa. When they get to the hospital, she runs ahead of her Grandma and bursts into her Grandpa's room."Grandpa, Grandpa," she says excitedly. "As soon as Grandma comes into the room, make a noise like a frog!"
"What," asks her Grandpa.
To which she replies, "Make a noise like a frog - because Grandma said that as soon as you croak, we're all going to Disneyland!"
