We're more than pleased to announce that Really Simple Systems has won the Software Satisfaction Awards for the Small Business CRM category.
Beating off all the usual suspects (NetSuite, ACT!, Goldmine, Salesforce.com, et al), Really Simple Systems took 68% of the vote,
almost five times as much as the nearest competitor.
The Software Satisfaction Awards are based on customer feedback rather than a judging panel of industry people, so the ratings reflect users' real life experience of both the products and the customer support.

Our thanks to all our customers who voted for us!
It is often said that in these times it is even more important for organisations, both large and small, to have quality software in place delivering best practice around their internal systems including CRM.
CRM enables you to have a single view of how strong your sales pipeline is helping you to plan your short and long term strategy to generate more business. It is also important to focus on retaining your existing customers by ensuring any business issues raised by them are being dealt with quickly and efficiently, while also being proactive in sending targeted information to them via an automated process.
However, in these economic times organisations are looking to cut their operating and capital expenses, as well as reduce risk. Buying traditional software involves large upfront costs to purchase and implement the software. Therefore many businesses will continue to use their old existing software and postpone the implementation of new software.
Companies offering SaaS (subscription based) solutions offer an alternative to organisations wanting to implement software. Instead of investing a large amount of money upfront you can simply pay for the number of users you require on a monthly basis and be up and running in a matter of hours. Often you can even "try before you buy". There are no hardware costs involved as all you need is a web browser and access to the application. The single fee should cover all costs associated with running the application, including any support fees. By the very nature of it being web based means that it should be intuitive to use and require very little training.
An added benefit for smaller organisations is that they get to use the same fully featured software as large organisations without needing to pay any extra. Previously smaller companies could not afford expensive software and therefore missed out on features that would be useful to them.

Really Simple MailSync is a new feature of Really Simple Systems that automatically captures incoming and outgoing emails into the CRM system.
Unlike other offerings, by communicating directly with your mail server, no local software is needed to be installed and you can continue to use the email client(s) of your choice. MailSync can be used with Microsoft Outlook, IBM Notes, Blackberries and PDAs and web mail services such as Hotmail and Google Mail.
How does it work? MailSync checks your mail server periodically, retrieves the emails from the CRM mailbox and matches them up to your Contacts and Users in the CRM system. For users of the Customer Service & Support module, the Case id is automatically added to the Subject when the Contact's email addresses is clicked in the CRM system, and emails with the Case Id in the Subject are automatically matched to the Case as well as the Contact.
If you are an existing customer and would like to set this up please refer to the manual under the Help tab, or contact support on 02 8987 1909.
